I finally got to ride in a Blackhawk this weekend.  It was pretty cool.  Our pilot made the smoothest take off and landing I think I have ever felt.  The day was perfect: no wind, cool temperatures, and just a little haze.  Totally worth the wait.  I took that shot over Lake Norman.

The question of course is were you able to take out any of the boaters on the lake with the .50 cal? :D

I love flying in Blackhawks. I got to re-enlist in one 500 feet above Kuwait. It was great!! Nothing beats doors open though!

I got to fly in a Huey once but a Blackhawk would be cool.

I am SO jealous. Helicopters are the neatest invention EVER! Best flying is \"nap of the earth\" or \"contour\" flying with the doors wide open and doing over a 100 mph below the tree tops!

Did the pilot get to do any cool manuevers. While i was in Iraq we knew a couple that they would purposely fly crazy to make people a nauseous lol but fun as hell.\r
