To many changes

My baby girl started Kindergarten on Monday.  Tuesday night my wife takes her to the mall for a hair cut.  They are walking through the mall and my daughter says to my wife, " I think I am ready mommy.".  My wife looked at her and said what??.  "I think I am ready to get my ears pierced".   We asked her a while back (over a year ago) if she wanted her ears pierced and she thought it would hurt so we told her, when she was ready she could tell us.  We never mentioned it again.  She remembered it and when she was ready she did it..  My wife took her to the bathroom before they had it done and my daughter said, "mommy,  my bottom lip is quivering".  My wife asked her if she wanted to change her mind and my daughter said no.

OMG, she starts school and now gets her ears pierced.  I can only take so much growing up at once. [View Image]

Way to go. My wife did our daughters ears a few months after she was born.

Holy crap...things sure have changed since I was a kid...I was not ALLOWED to have my ears pierced until I was 13!

In Italian families its the same. Their ears are pierced at a few months.\r \r At least she didn't bring a boy home from kindergarten. That would have been like hitting the trifecta.

I'll trade you - my daughter is starting to PMS for the first time. If I have to hear about cramps one more time before it actually happens I'm going to scream!

I am glad I have boys. Scary that my youngest is starting kindergarten this year and the oldest will be in 2nd grade but I like the fact I only have to worry about 2 penises. You guys with little girls have to worry about every penis in town.

It's also scary to realize how the little ones retain stuff that they hear. Makes you realize how careful you must ALWAYS be when speaking around them.\r \r Well at least I don't have your worries, just those as a grandparent (7 g-kids from 2 kids and their spouses). Ages range from a 19 year old boy to an 11 month old boy with two girls in the middle somewhere.
