This Sucks

I have not been able to sleep for the past two nights.  I have been having a pain.  I am not even really sure what it is.  It started out in my lower jaw.  Wasn't sure if it was a tooth or what.  Sometimes it feels like it is in my upper jaw.  Wierd, I know.  Can't tell if it is a sore tooth or what.  It is just a dull throb.  At night while I am trying to sleep, it really bothers me.  My wife says it could be sinuses.  I don't know whether to call my doctor or my dentist.  Right now it isn't too bad.  Seems to be worse when I am laying down at night.  I literally get about 15 minutes of sleep and it wakes me up.  My butt is dragging bad this morning.  Okay, end of pity party.

I work with teachers, so keep the same type of school schedule. While I don't have to quite start back yet, it is getting close to that time. Summer has flown by! :(

At least he's alive and doing good. He now has the summer to start thinking about what to do with his life. :)

Venom bro, I am so happy that he is alright. He's going to have a boring summer, but at least as you said it was not worse. \r \r As for his future biking experiences?!? Get that boy a helmet and superglue it to his fucking head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Toe to toe against a car. It could have been tons worse. Sorry he got hurt bud. Hope he is back on his feet in no time. At least he will get his gold cross this summer. May as well have one gold crosser in the family since you sure as hell ain't gonna flip. Stayin' alive at 55.

Is the pain close to the ear? Is it more like a tense feeling like some bends? Or is it a sore feeling that hurts to the touch?

It is hard to pinpoint. It is not by the ear. It is a dull throb. Doesn't hurt to touch. I have never had a pain like this before. Hard to explain but annoying as all get out.

Had your wisdom teeth out?\r \r Sounds like a tooth, or like ekattan said something in the ear. Both of those pains tend to radiate and often the pain isnt felt much where the issue is but in the area it is radiating to which can be anywhere in proximity. If its a tooth it is likely a root.\r \r Might even be stress if anything stressful has happened lately. Sometimes people that get stress grind their teeth or keep their jaws flexed while sleeping which will cause soreness.\r \r I guess sinus could radiate in the jaw...seems like most cases radiate into other areas though. If it continues you should get it checked.

Wisdom teeth out.\r \r No stress.\r \r I did have a root canal in my upper back tooth a year and a half ago and still haven't gone back for my crown. Sounds like I had better call the dentist first.

Get to a dentist ASAP. Sounds like an infection and that can quickly spread to the blood/brain and become REALLY serious.

If it was an infection you would have swelling. Usually you get a throb on you jaw muscles when you bite down during sleep, this is usually below your jaw close to the ear.

I suggest you see your Doctor first. He or She should know if it is something for Dentist or not.
