Dungeons & Dragons

I have never played in my life. I remember finding a duffle bag on the side of the interstate while in college in the late 80s. It was full of little metal figures and crazy looking dice. It had some tapes in it also. The guy that was with me at the time  and I split the tapes and threw away the figures and dice. Didn't know anything about D&D (still don't). I bet we threw away 100 figures. Wish I had those back.

Fast forward many years to last week. I have finally decided I want to learn about and possibly play some D&D. I ordered the Red Box Starter Set. Anybody out there ever played any D&D? Anybody interested in playing? Don't know anything about it but the latest rage seems to be playing with Google+ Hangouts. Let me hear your stories and if anybody is interested in trying a Hangout, let me know.
