Messing around organizing pictures and ran across these from this summer.  We went to Little Switzerland, NC for a day of gem mining.  You buy a bucket of rocks and sit down and sort through them.

There a gem mining place about 30mins from me, but the kid is old enough now that the magic of the idea has worn off.\r \r Little bastard.

Heck, I enjoyed it more than the boys. They still get there gems out occasionally and go through them.
