The xbox has landed!
The repaired xbox is back in its place on my desk. Only problem I've seen is that the on/off switch doesn't click, it's just kinda mushy. I'll have to get in the habit of turning it on using the controller.
Now that I've got two xboxes in the house, I am already discovering that I need a dedicated controller just for me. My son takes my controller upstairs to his room to play with his buddies and I don't feel like tracking it down everytime I want to play. That will be another $30 or so and then another rechargable battery. Damn, this is getting more and more expensive....
I am having NAT issues with the two xboxes on the same LAN. With 2 xboxes you can't do port forwarding, you have to use UPnP. I enabled that on my router and my xbox gets an Open NAT. But the other xbox gets a strict NAT. What the hell? I have the advertisement period set to 2 and the advertisement time to live to 8. More research will be needed to get these boxes working happily together.
