In other news, work is going well, aside from a payroll paperwork snafu that prevented me from getting paid on time. It’s really nice to work right next to a gym. Its funny- I had a gym class that I had to drop because I could never get to it. Something always came up that took priority, my son, my spouse, or some other thing. And I had been really serious about it when I signed up for it. I need to get in shape again. If I had had this job at the beginning of the semester, it wouldn’t have been a problem and the government wouldn’t have wasted its money on the class. Just being here, I work out almost every day when I get done with whatever deskwork my supervisor needs me to help with. I’m already getting the tone that I had lost over the fall/winter back. It’s pretty cool. Too bad it’s a temp job.

Also, I’m totally broke. It’s actually been stressful trying to get to work every day. I need a car. Bus fair costs more now than the half gallon of gas it would take to get me there and back. Also, it sucks to bring one kid on a bus, let alone two! And the new one is about to drop out. We’re not at all ready.

Them’s the breaks. Oh well.
