After reading ProvingUnique's blog on geocaching got me interested in going myself.  You see, several years ago I got into geocaching hot and heavy.  I did it so much, I burned out on it.  Well this time around, I am taking it easy.  Instead of going everyday and trying to find every single cache that I can,I am just doing a few here and there.

Geocaching is using billion dollar satellites to find pieces of tupperware in the woods.

If you like adventure and need a reason to get out of the house, give geocaching a try.  You might be suprised.  Here is a link to a cache hidden near my house.

What kind of GPS are you using? My student worker said they tried with a GPS you use for your car and it wasn't matching up. That is disappointing because I was hoping to using a car GPS. Any thoughts?

Car gps does not work as well. Everybody that I have talked to that has tried one says the same thing. A $90 Garmin hand held gps is a lot better than a car unit. That being said, if you do your homework and the cache page has a good writeup, you can find them without a gps. There have been times I have read one and figured things out and drove right to it and found it.
