Taking a Stand

First off, life in Mecha is fine, Just need to sell all my turnips this week or I am out 200.000 bells.

I am starting a new project for my DS Phat. The Image to the left is of a DS Play Stand that can be swiveled for normal play or inverted for games like Brain Age. I have checked, and you can only get one from over seas, and I am not waiting on Ebay if there is one there. I don't want to have to pay import charges, and I think it would be a lot more interesting to build one my self. So I will build my own, and I will be using this blog here at the Great 2old2play.com to catalog my progress.

I want to use this blog as a building log for making this stand. Why do I need a stand? I play a lot of Sudoku, at my desk. I noticed that, after awhile my neck starts to hurt from having to constantly look straight down at the DS. Through this blog entry, you will notice some images of the DS Play stand that is currently being sold at a few places over seas. (Links at the bottom) I was able to get the correct ideas from this original stand idea but wanted to simplify the construction. Using Plexiglas, I will be able to make a large majority of the pieces needed.

Before I begin cutting up Plexiglas, and gluing my fingers together, I need an idea of how I am going to build this contraption. So I started up my Bryce, and stared making some shapes. From the picture you can see, I have a simplified version of what I want to build. Tomorrow I should be able to go and get the supplies I need, as I should have all the tools needed. Though out this series of blogs I will document my progress and hopefully have some sort of Supplies list and tools list and a price list of everything I used.
