Later this year the Complete Saga of Star Wars is going to be released on Blu-ray (the awesome three and the shitty three). Leave to Lucas to screw up what should have been the greatest package to date. Instead of getting the Original Theatrical release and his tweaked version (something his diehard fans have been clamoring for) we only get his “tweaked versions”. Overall it’s going to be a nice set and we still have several months until release, but I just don’t understand not including the original theatrical release. That’s the movie we fell in love with. Han shot first, Vader says “bring me my shuttle”, and I sure as hell don’t want to see fucking Hayden Christianson at the end of “Jedi”. I don’t want to go full on Star Wars nerd, but if I’m spending over a hundred for this collection then I want the originals with it.

You and I both know they'll be released NEXT September, so that all the Star Wars nerds will buy them both.

I agree. I want the originals in this purchase. I don't really care about the tweaks. I will still get it though.

and that is why he is doing it. It is all about the money and Lucas is the master at pulling every last sent out of your pockets as possible.

He'll never release them, because he's an ass. Deep down he's probably doing that cause us die-hard SW fans totally bash his changes, and this is how he's hating on us.\r \r I could of sworn I read somewhere that the excuse was that there was no remastered footage of the originals, or that they got lost or some BS.

I can't really see spending any more money to own SW . I've already bought multiple VHS and DVD versions and frankly I never watch them. So it just doesn't make sense to me to spend the money he's going to want for this stuff. I'll rent them through Netflix and 'relive' Star Wars again in as good as quality a 1970's move can be made on BluRay. But i'm not putting down any money for it.

I hope Kez is wrong and they don't double-dip the bluray release. That would suck heinously, unless they let you know another set was coming out before they released the first one. Like with the LotR blurays, I passed because I knew the extended versions were coming out later this year.\r \r I also read something when this was first announced that they were including an alternate ending to RotJ where Lando died during the assault on the new death star. Hope thats true, I'd like to see that.

LOL...I doubt I'll buy the whole Saga...only the True Trilogy...I would be perfectly happy if never watch those pieces of shit again for the rest of my life. Are we really suppose to believe that whiny little bitch Anakin becomes Darth Vadar and is a DNA supplier for Luke and Leia? Talk about stretching the imagination...
