... I was sitting in a Japanese Sushibar sampling oriental goodness. I went there with my sister Barbie (actual name), my nephew Thom and brother in law Martin. Barbie is the sister who offered to take me in when it became obvious that my progressive disability was eating too deep in my desire to remain independant. What she and her husband did and are doing for me is legend and being with them makes me a better person than I am.

Thom is the oldest of four kids. The second oldest, Jan, remained at home to look after the younger two, Teun and Sophie.
