Random thoughts for the day...

1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to
immediately clear your computer history if you die.

2. Nothing sucks more than that moment
during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

3. I totally take back all those times I
didn't want to nap when I was younger.

4. There is great need for a sarcasm
font.

5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a
fitted sheet?

6. Was learning cursive really
necessary?

7. Map Quest really needs to start their
directions on #5. I'm pretty sure I know how to
get out of my neighborhood.

8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting
if they told you how the person died.

9. I can't remember the last time I
wasn't at least kind of tired.

10. Bad decisions make good stories.

11. You never know when it will strike, but
there comes a moment at work when you know that you just
aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of
the day.

12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever
comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have
to restart my collection...again.

13. I'm always slightly terrified when I
exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any
changes to my ten-page research paper that I swear I did not
make any changes to.

14. "Do not machine wash or tumble
dry" means I will never wash this -- ever.

15. I hate when I just miss a call by the last
ring (Hello? Hello? Damn it!), but when I immediately call
back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What'd
you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run
away?

16. I hate leaving my house confident and
looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the
entire day. What a waste.

17. I keep some people's phone numbers in
my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

18. My 4-year old son asked me in the car the
other day " Dad what would happen if you ran over a
ninja?" How the hell do I respond to that?

19. I think the freezer deserves a light as
well..

20. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet
on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with
Miller Lites than Kay.

Its weird huh! Then they change their expression or make a gesture and you usually totally change what you were imagining, trippy.

that is why I am learning not to judge people untill you know them, I have assumed before and i was very wrong about the person

Oh, nice quote gamerchicklet! I like it.

Not to sound obtuse, but I don't worry about other people's lives, I worry about my own. That's not to say that I'm unfeeling or anything, but indulging in that type of mental wandering is pointless.
G
Goze211·
Yes I've done the same thing from time to time. I'd like to think things are going well for the person, but it's more likley we're all suffering and enjoying life in similar quantites, just in different ways. Right now a man in New Jersey and an aborignie in a jungle village are both wishing they could tell their fathers that they love him.

yeah - it's 1am and I just got back from work.

yeah, working nights really sucks. I did for about 1 1/2 yrs and I hated every minute of it. It eats your soul. :]

I hear you on the Halo thing. I feel the same way. Before Halo, I had some gaming consoles but they didn't get used that much by me. An occasional evening playing a game or two, but nothing dedicated. Then my grandson brought over his 180 and Halo 1 and 2. Almost immediately after he went home, I got my own! I've been playing it ever since. Got my 360 because of Halo (and the other games it introduced me to). Now I play almost every Tuesday and Thursday evening and would play more if my wife didn't threaten me with dire consequences. Great game and Halo 3 should bigger and better! Scary thought!

Eureka-VERY! good\r \r Have someone on a bus stop stand up unexpectedly and move away from you\r or\r Have someone in the car next to yours at a red light look at you and then lock the door?\r ??????????????????\r \r They do both now as it is.....Is there a choice?LOL!

Eureka - Very, very good! \r \r The Closer - Very good!\r \r Bill Maher (Real Time - 24-Aug) - Very good!\r \r Fighting with cable company over picture quality - Very bad!\r \r People locking their cars doors when I pull up next to them - the least they do. You should see the look I get when I pull up next to people when on my bike ride, pull off shirt, wring a few cups of sweat/water out and put shirt back on. Some you can see them considering the red-light running violation fine & points versus watching what I might do next...

Bowling is awesome and yes it's mostly about drinking eating and having a good time with friends. I fucked up my elbow bowling and haven't bowled since. It screwed me also cause I also had to stop playing racquetball.\r \r Bets of luck with your job bro. Be positive. Every works out for the best. \r \r And yes Halo 3 is very well balanced and so much fun. I'm trying very hard not to ignore my wife but the games keeps on calling me even in my sleep and even my fingers start to itch.

Sometimes that mental thing is a hard one to deal with. I know when I was a teenager the company I worked for lost their contract with the state. A new company came in and hired all of us who wanted to keep working and I went with them but the lady who ran the company was a direct competitor of my old boss and their was some personal animosity there as well. Try as I might, I just couldn't work well under her because of the emotional attachment I had to my old employer and had to end up quitting.

There could be numerous reasons why they are opening the road early. I would need to know more information before passing judgement.

1. What are you doing up at 2:34 on a Tuesday?\r 2. I put pictures on the side of my fridge.\r 3. Are you talking Mereological Nihilism or Nietzsche's hard core Nihilism?\r 4. Thanks for the visual. Now everytime I come across someone with abnormally wrinkly eyelids, I will think of that. \r

A-Rox,\r \r #1 I was being born.\r #2 I put my pictures on the back of the fridge. I have ugly relatives.\r #3 I've always kind of thought of Nietzsche as a traitor to Nihilism. He was so determined to find it objectionable he warped it to his own liking and then put it on his mantle next to his bowling trophies.\r #4 You, my fine lady, are very welcome :D

I was a little confused, okay very confused, with your answer to #1. But now I understand it. You could have made it easier on all of us and said, \"I was born,\" rather that \"I was being born.\" \r Being born implies you were literally escaping the womb, or you had some moment of enlightenment that threw you into a new plane of existance. \r \r But, then agian, I don't think you do much of anything the easy way.\r \r Happy Birthday at 2:34 in the morning Tuesday.

I think less people should vote. Too many uneducated, knee-jerk, single-minded, bigoted, self-righteous, agenda-driven, and selfish people vote.\r \r Unfortunately, there is no fair way to qualify voters so our Constitution provides that no test be administered as a prerequisite to being allowed to vote... which is a good thing.\r \r So even though you may be flawed in one of the ways I mentioned above, go vote.\r \r On a side note, why do they not allow internet voting registration?
C
Castlemonster·
AWWWWWW FUCK!!!!\r \r I did a write in for President but I used an \"O\" instead of a \"0\" in Big0ne.... oh well, don't quit your day job.

Well, I wrote myself in for President. It's not like my vote will change the way the electoral votes will go in Texas. It's a foregone conclusion that Texas will go for McCain no matter how a large number of independents such as myself vote.\r \r Here's an interesting article on how your vote for President really doesn't matter:\r \r http://m.reporternews.com/news/2008/nov/02/statistically-does-your-presidential-vote-matter/\r \r Additionally, Texas is heavily gerrymandered so my vote for many of the federal and even some state offices won't make much difference either. Hell, in several races there was only one person running. The opposition knew it was a waste of time to even field a candidate.\r \r Still, I voted because I do have an impact on local offices and propositions. So that's where I concentrated my efforts.

Zero...that study is flawed. I mean, really, 200 million votes and they are looking at the odds of one vote being the one that mattered? Specious argument. \r \r Great blog Big.
O
OrzoKhan·
Nice blog!\r I don't think I could argue against you on one point !\r DK I know you know but it is EVERYONES right to vote no matter how stupid they are. That's America\r God Bless America and go out and vote!
D
Deathmark·
congrats you guys on ending what has seemed to be the longest pre election campaign ever. I think the best part of this US election is that it would appear that you will have one of the highest voter turnout ever and that can only be a good thing. Our most recent election (canada) had below 60% turnout which is pretty pathetic.

Best part of that video is him not being able to get the mouse of the box, lol\r \r I think it's a waste of money and it might actually slow your game play instead of improving it.\r \r Anyway... cute pets! What kind of a dog is that?

Ya that was kinda funny. I'm such a gadget geek so I'm easily impressed.\r \r Drake's a Dachshund a little weiner dog. The cat actually weighs more than he does.

Knowing when to advocatea nd when to back off.... it's a skill we all need. I know I don't have it... yet.\r \r Twitter can be a great tool. The e-marketting muckymucks love it. \r \r But it can also be totally stupid. Just like anything.\r \r My Tweet for the day would be: Thighs hurting after yoga last night. Getting stronger day by day.
S
Snuphy·
I do the back button thing too. Not because I think I might be construed an idiot. I know I can be an idiot, especially in print. My sarcasm can occassionally be offensive, even if it's not intended to be. If I'm not sure, which is often, I go back.\r \r Not every day can be as thrilling as travelling the country with a circus. But I'd bet every now and then you do something that you would consider interesting or entertaining. And if you do, chances are good that someone else will too.

I'll let you know next time I head off for an open road-trip. Last time I was gone 4 months.
