PC to HDTV

I want to hook up my old laptop to play some older PC games on my HDTV. Currently it has a RCA out which anyone can tell you sucks, and sucks more. So I have been searching for a solution that wont break me and wont require a ton of time to set up.

So I found this

and it seems to do what I need, but I am not 100 percent sold on it yet. As I know NOTHING about getting a PC on to a TV. I know that Y Pb Pr is component but I can not seem to find an adapter which looks like the out in the pic above, and no response via email yet makes me hesitant.

But the biggest thing so far is finding a company that ships to Canada, so many wont. What the hell is their problem? Tiger.ca does, but their system sucks for most credit card companies, it wont accept the correct information unless its entered in a backasswards way.

I would really like to get some help from someone who has done this before.. So if that is you, please leave some advice..

I want to play Wing Commander I - 5, System Shock 2, Star Craft and more badly, and not on a little wee monitor

I'm lucky my notebook has DVI out and my tv has DVI in, so I only needed 1 simple cable :) (at least I think it was DVI).\r \r Anyway, playing Warcraft on a 50inch DLP sure was interesting! Didn't get around to playing anything else though, as it was a little awkward with the mouse and keyboard on the coffee table - made me hunch over too much :(

ya, I went and bought a mini table to go across my lap (and is supported on each end so it doesnt sit on my lap).. I didnt want to hunch over

There are cables that convert VGA to Component. \r \r I do not know exactly how well they work. Probably as well as the dongle that most PC videocards come with. Which then leaves the PC to do all the scaling on the tv and normally looks...not good.\r \r A VGA or DVI input on a TV (I have used both) are ideal.
