Most atheists I've interacted with (or people that claimed to be atheists) seem to have a knee jerk reaction when it comes to dealing with religious topics - and more specifically with Christianity.  It was refreshing to read about someone that saw what she perceived as a slight, and took it on directly - even though it was about how unfairly Christians are treated in politics and the media.

If everyone could have such open and honest dialogue about these things, we'd all be better off. Good article.

\"Liberal Media\" laughable. \"80% Christian\"\r Right. And what are people who \"claim\" to be atheists? Liars? Or people who haven't been in a foxhole?

Deman...what is it about facts that bothers you so much? 76% of Americans identify themselves as Christians. Oh gee, she was off by 4%. She is obviously a right-wing plant...KILL HER NOW!!!!\r \r I'll offer up the NYT, Huffington Post, MSNBC, and NPR as having distinct liberal slants, as well as a number of large newspapers (LA Times?). CNN is closer to the middle and Faux News is on the right. Most studies have found the media to be center to left leaning. \r \r Facts suck in your world, don't they?

My comment about people that claim to be atheists was referring to people that say the are atheists but upon further discussion reveal that they are actually agnostic or still undecided. Most of them are just lazy and take the atheist moniker as the easy way out, letting the Dawkins and Hitchens of this world think for them.\r
