Nothing Jolly at the LAN...
Thats right, it looks like my LAN attendance has been dealt a tremendous blow (to quote fight chat). Most of you know the story of my life the last 4 months, so I will be rather brief. I was one of the first people to buy my ticket to this years Chicago LAN back in January. After the birth of our third child, everything still looked good-to-go. I had even agreed to dress up as a french maid, and Smoke was going to hook me up with plane tickets. Well, this is where things started to go south. After months of going through our ordeal with Megan, I had used up all of my available vacation time and lost the will to want to entertain everyone with the maid dress-up. But, I still held out hope that I would still be attending. Well that hope has dwindled down to a flicker. After moving into a new home, the passing of my uncle last week, and now an unexpected bill that has arisen via my old apartment, the cash flow has gone down to almost nill. Now, I know a lot of you may say, there will be other LANs so not to worry, but honestly and truthfully I really wanted to attend this year. After all that has gone down and the outpouring of my fellow site family members, I wanted to be able to shake hands and dish out some love for everything you all have done for me, in person. Being real honest, I was probably gonna spend more time hanging out with you all, then actually gaming. I guess this blog is meant as an outlet to my frustration, so I apologize for sounding selfish. I will continue to look for ways that my appearance may be possible, but Im not getting my hopes up way too much. Thanks goes out to Smoke for even offering the plane tix in return for something that would have been fun to do. I just have lost the "want", so to speak, to do the stunt. Anyways, I will see everyone online, and thank you for putting up with my soap box-type rant. As always

Update: I received a check for $150 for a couple of appraisals I did last summer. Only about $300 to go in the next couple of weeks. Still crossing fingers.
