My very first blog here!
Well I finally got around to setting up a blog title image as well as a background, which means I am finally going to start blogging here! I just never felt very comfortable doing so until I made it look a little nicer!
I'm actually really happy with the title image, it was so quick and easy to set up, I even found a font called Han Solo, which gives it a Star Wars-ish feel.
So, I guess I'll do a standard first blog and say a bit aboot me (yep, "aboot", I'm Canadian after all, eh?).

Age: 29 (currently). Born in Aug '77, which means I will be the big 3-0 soon.
Birthplace: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, eh?
Current Residence: same as above - yeah, I never got outta my igloo much
Family: Married to Megan, who came with a kid (McKenna) and a cat (Moe), so I got myself an insta-family! Been married since July.
Job: DBA (DataBase Administrator). Take care of numerous Sybase and Microsoft SQL Servers, and a couple of Oracle databases for good measure. My employer is my province's public auto insurer.
Hobbies: Gaming (duh!), reading, browsing the web, movies (most genres), some television (like Lost, Heroes, BSG, and reality shows - my guilty pleasure).
