My Lan = Vegas

So, I had saved up for the lan, had the time off and I was good to go. One thing I did not do however was get my passport until the last minute. I waited to buy flights until I had my passport taken care of. The flights were originally around $1100 roundtrip for the wife and I to fly. By the time I got my passport they were $1570. $1570 JUST FOR FUCKING FLIGHT. We planned on going for 4 nights so the hotel was gonna be over $500. At this point I didn't know what do do. I had time off and money saved but paying over 2100 dollars just for flight and hotel for a 4 day lan trip seemed fucking ludicrous. At that point I started looking on the net at other options. I quickly found out how cheap it was to go to Vegas. In the end I got 5 nights at MGM Grand and flight for the 2 of us for $1450 tax in. The savings plus the extra night stay made going to the lan look like a fucking really bad decision. So, we went to Vegas and had a great time. I am still really bummed out about missing the lan as that was my intention the whole time I had been saving up and the reason I booked off those days. And it being the last 2o2p lan I missed out on meeting a lot of people I have wanted to meet for a long time. Shitty, but what can you do.

So, next objective is the Profanity lan. Whenever Drost gets the details worked out there is no way in fuck I am missing this one. I have already checked and flights to Texas are a lot more reasonable than Chicago. To all you bastards that made the lan, I hope you had a great time.
