L. A. Noire and historical background

Just read this article at IGN about the upcoming L.A. Noire: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/114/1148209p1.html

I am really interested to see how realistic they portray L.A. in the late 40's. Los Angeles in the 2 decades after World War II was an almost perfect microcosm of post-war culture. Since the main protagonist is a LAPD officer across several divisions it will be interesting to see how they handle what's in the game and what was really going on.

Even if it glosses over some of the racial tensions and other things going on I'm still looking forward to exploring the environment.

Can't wait for this game. Seeing how well Rockstar did recreating the old west in RDR, I have high hopes for LA Noir.
