Kid-friendly flight sims?

My 4-year-old son was with me over the weekend when I picked up Battlefield 3. There is a picture of a helicopter on the back cover, which caught his attention. All he talked about the rest of the day is "I want to play the helicopter game!".

The game is way too mature for him (not even talking about the blood/violence, but rather the complexity of the controls). He has no problem picking up casual games like Toy Story 3 and Lego Star Wars and he's actually very good at those games. While it would be great to train him to be a good Battlefield player, that's a few years away. Plus if he plays online I fear he'll end up using language like "pass the potatoes or I'll rape your mouth, faggot" at the dinner table.

He is really interested in the helicopter/flight aspects of the game. Are there any flight simulators (or games with a flight sim mode) that are more casual, forgiving, and kid-friendly?
