iPhone Users

I have a question for you. Wife just got one and I was playing around with it. On my Droid, when I zoom in on something while on the internet, of course the font gets bigger but the margins resize and I don't have to scan back and forth to see an entire line. (Does this make sense?)  On the iPhone, when I zoom in, I then have to scan back and forth to read something. Is there a way to fix this or is this just a problem with iPhones? I really want to like the phone but this is a big problem for me.
