I'm Reading a Book
I'm Reading a Book called "Darkest Fear" by Harlan Coben. It's another book in the Myron Bolitar series that is just insanely good. The writing is incredible, the humor impecable, and the mystery stories divinely woven into it all. Each book stands on its own, but overall Coben weaves in some interesting stories and themes.
Anyway, I'm reading a book and I was struck by this paragraph, so I wanted to share: "He wanted her gone, but with ex-loves there is also a pulling sadness. There before you stands the true road untraveled, the lifetime what-if, the embodiment of a totally alternate life if things had gone a little different. He had absolutely no interest in her anymore, yet her words still drew out his old self, wounds and all."
I won't comment on it - those are reserved for the areas of my heart marked "Private".
