How long is an hour?
I can't believe shrinks and masseusses (massaueuuueuses? erm... massage therapists!) can call it an "hour" when it's 50 minutes. 10 minutes aint much? But that's 1/6. What if I bought a 20 ounce bottle of Coke and it only has 16.7 ounces of product? A quarter pound burger that was a fifth of a pound? I want my sixth back! Give me my sixth! I'm a sixth lord (shameless Star Wars pun)! I have a sixth sense!
Carry on.

And if you're getting 50 minutes from a shrink, you are doing good. I used to bill an hour for 40 minute sessions. It is done that way because the other 10 (or 20 in my case) minutes were used for paperwork relative to the session. Paperwork doesn't do itself and it doesn't get done for free.\r
Besides, what is time anyway?
I think you should beat the shrink senseless to teach him a lesson.
yeah, i know they do paperwork for the other 10-20 minutes. but they don't sell it to me that way - it's sold as an hour session. should be sold as a 40 minute session. \"yes, i'd like to sell you this house\" and then i buy the house and it's like, \"hey, we keep 20% of the house for our files - we have to put them somewhere!\" or some better analogy than that.\r

i really don't actually care that much, to be honest. any shrink would be lucky to have me for any length of time.
