Happy Independence Day

"Forty-six U.S. and allied personnel lost their lives in Afghanistan last month, the highest monthly toll since the war started. The 28 American troop deaths also marked the highest U.S. monthly death toll in Afghanistan in the conflict."

With times like they are, let us all give thanks to the brave men & women who go in harms way to allow us the freedoms we will celebrate today.

When you're out today, grilling burgers & dogs, doing cannonballs in the deep end of the pool, throwing back beers while the ladies talk over margaritas, watching the kids run down the slip 'n slide, feel free to send a prayer to those who've fallen & the ones still fighting.

Happy Independence Day 2old2play!

Yes, I visited D.C in school, and was awed by all the different \"historical\" sites to see. We did visit the National Archives as well. I really enjoyed the trip but would like to again some day and take the kids. Have a Happy 4th!
