Gears of War Scatching

Has anyone had the "fun" of experiencing the Gears of War scratch? What a pain in the ass, this is the result of one of our customers issues:

What a pain in the ass, the scratches are not superficial and I've not been able to get them out. Microsoft will feel my wrath for this one...

And yes, I've heard a lot of rumblings amongst the Internet community with this issue. Some seem to be a waxy substance while others are real scratches - probably depends on how far down the read head was when it caused the issue to occur. Dunno, but its the suck.

How did the scratch occur? Did the person move the 360?

Yeah, if that was how it was out of the box then that is one thing, but most likely its the customers fault. If he/she moved the Xbox at any time, those scratches will occur. It has nothing to do with GoW.

This is not out of the box, it was \"at some point\" in Act 4 when the disc read error occured.\r

looks like the scratch that happened when I moved my 360 when doing a test with my old 360 and COD3.. Yes I was an idiot

At some point during Act 4 did his 360 get knocked? That looks pretty much like the scaring that happens when you flip your 360 from horizontal to vertical or visa versa with it on and disc in. Or if your system is vert and gets knocked.\r \r

The PS2 used to do exactly the same so would pretty well much guarantee that the numpty who had it screwed up big time
