First day, first day blogging

Well, I never blogged before but I think this is a great way to talk about my favorite past time.  I never really get to "geek" about games the way I would like but when I stumbled upon this site I thought, "Why not release my love for games here?"  I have been playing video games since the Atari 2600 days and never really stopped.  I own a Xbox 360 now but a family now brings down the gaming time a lot.

I am currently playing Modern Warfare 2, Assassins's Creed 2, and Tekken 6.  I am happy with all of them.  I am not overly critical of games and I would not consider myself a good critic.  I say that because like many things I try to see the good in everything and if there is enough good things to make me smile or think a little about the game then I classify it as a good game.  Games are for entertainment and to me, to be entertained is to smile.  If a game makes me smile more than ball up my fists then it's all good.  A great game is one I cannot put down.  If I have to play it then something about the game must be great, right?  Likewise a crappy game is one I do not wish to play.  If a game is so bad that I do not wish to continue then it must be bad.  

I am not an achievement whore, there is nothing in the gamerscore that makes me want to be.  However, I do feel like a high gamerscore in a particular game shows that you are involved in the game.  So to that end I will try to get them in a game that I would like to get other players in on as well.  For instance, if I would like to play in a clan for Unreal Tournament then I will really try to get the achievements so that people at a glance would know I'm into the game.
