Excited, Nailed Down My First Sponsor!

So, for those that actually take a moment to read my shitty blog and watch my crazy ass cocktail video's, you've probably seen everything from our initial pilot episodes to some of the more recent ones (The Climax Recipe below). I've finally nailed down my first sponsor for the show, who is buying 36 episodes, half of which I'll be trading sponsor time for products to fill my shows voids (new highball glasses, shot glasses, martini glasses, tiki, etc.)

I'm excited. Although 2old2type is a success as is my own TD Gaming Podcast, in my mind, venturing out of games to do something completely different was a stretch. I know games, so that's sorta going down something I'm comfortable with. But, taking a business plan style idea of "we can make money doing this" and providing evidence of it is something completely different. We tried the online game retail thing and that's not really making money (margins are AWFUL) and after a few failures it's nice to see something working.

I've got fans of the show, a growing community doubling growth month over month and an endless amount of content and ideas. So awesome.

Cool, this is the first video I have seen, I am going to go back and catch the rest. I dont drink but i love to play bartender at our parties. I am definitely going to use this one at the next party. great show

Yeah, I'm stoked. I won't be rich, but it sets a standard for the show and allows others to see that they too can sponsor the show.\r \r The business of getting into cocktails was not really done specifically because I like to drink all the time, but I recognized that there is a segment of online advertising that gets no love: alcohols and that style. A gaming podcast or any of the other typical shows (tech for instance) really can't accept alcohol ads because it would damage their demographic in many cases (because their demographic can be young and it doesn't look good).\r \r I wanted to open the gates for those advertisers trying to figure out how to get THEIR name on new media. Hopefully it pays off in the end!
