Early birthday present

The wife and I both have birthdays in the beginning of June so we've both been out shopping for each other. One thing I love about her (and I'm sure she loves about me) is that we both SUCK at holding onto good gifts for each other. It never fails. Christmas, anniversaries, birthdays, it's always the same, we wind up just having dinner because we've gotten our gifts early. This year is no different. She dragged me out to Futureshop yesterday to pick up my present:

A FREAKIN' ION DRUM KIT FOR ROCK BAND!!!!!

I naturally spent WAY too much time playing Rock Band last night and finally grabbed the Flawless Drumming achievement with these babies. I've still got some adjusting to do to get all the pads where I want them (I'll clean up all those nasty loose wires then) and some cymbal pads to order but OMG this thing rocks!!!! I'm soooooooooo tempted to call in sick today.

Oh, for anyone who's wondering what the wife got, she spent the night playing with her 64gb iPod Touch. Yeah, I know, she's spoiled . I gotta make sure she sticks around though.
