I loved comic books as a kid.  Over the last 2 or 3 years, I have tried to pick up a couple and just couldn't get into anything.  I don't know why I have the urge but I really want to find 1 or 2 that I can get into.  I loved Fantastic Four as a kid but I just can't find any "superhero" comics that grab my attention.  Can any of you comic experts point me towards some of the better comics? I wish I could tell you what I am into but I just don't know.  The generic superhero just doesn't do anything for me.

If I were you I would check out the first volumes of two different series that I read and loved recently.\r \r They are Y: The Last Man and Preacher.\r \r More importantly, when you find something that you like, then you should look for more stuff by the same author or artist. \r \r NG

I have heard about the Preacher before. I need to look into that one. I will check out the other one also. Thanks for the heads up.

No problem. Both are 9-10 volume runs so they aren't cheap or short. \r \r Preacher is much more \"raunchy\" than Y the last man. So if you're into the freaky stuff then that's the one for you. \r \r Y is more of a plain jane action story. Still great, but much less violent/freaky.\r \r NG
