Bloody Mary or a Beer?

Yep, believe it or not, this was a quote from my boss today.  Around 3:30pm, the boss comes back from lunch he had with a customer, zips into the kitchen, and back out whistling a happy tune.  He comes to my cube and says "would you like a beer or a bloody mary"?  Of course, thinking he was joking, I said "neither" and rolled my eyes.  I thought nothing of it.  About 10 minutes later, he comes back out of his office and needs my advice on some tax info (end of our fiscal year today-HOORAY!)... I told him I'd help him in a bit because I was really stressed about a project I was given that had to be done by the end of the day today.  He disappears into the kitchen, and comes back out with a beautiful, unexpected-at-work drink.... he made me a fantastic screwdriver! It's 4pm & he made me a drink! I went into the kitchen and sure enough he brought a case of Miller LIte, a bottle of Absolut Vodka, and a bottle of bloody mary mix.  I said- "what's the occasion"... He said.... "It's Friday".

Uhhh, it's Friday- what a beautiful sound.  It's amazing how much the spirits of your coworkers are lifted by having a drink on a Friday afternoon.  The guys are walking around the office, cracking open cold ones, the boss is drinking a beer, and the girls have their concoctions they made with the pop/soda machine outside and our bottle of Absolut!

Unexpected and much needed- surely we need to make this a Friday tradition from now on.
