Beginnings
Well, here it is. I'm joining in. After years of avoiding MySpace, Blogspot, Friendster, whatever, I'm buying in to this online community stuff and finally setting up shop at the cyberspace newstand. And I hope to post something on a regular basis, at least once a week.
As the first part of my blog title suggests I'll be spending a good amount of space telling you, whoever you are, what I think about things. And since this is a gaming community, well, I'll have a lot to say about games. But hell, there's other stuff as well: music, television, jobs, movies, politics, etc., you know, life and beyond. Yeah, I'll rave, review and rant about whatever is occupying my console, computer, dvd player, stereo, toaster, and so on.
The second part of my blog title indicates that there will certainly be times when I confront a topic that confounds me or leaves me with my head a shakin'. It will probably also be a phrase that some of you use after reading what I have to say. I should probably apologize for my opinions in advance, as though they will be honest, they may not be so humble. But I won't
Anyway, I'm looking forward to participating in this community. It's in that spirit I will fill these pages with words. Please enjoy them, dear reader.
P.S. My title graphic is a crop of a photo I took in Dublin, Ireland last November. It struck me because these billboards are in a residential area off the main streets. And to clarify, I'm not advocating for Gears of War or Damien Rice . . . you know what, fuck it! Go ahead, go buy those things.
P.S.S. I traded Gears of War back in for MLB 2K7 and I've never owned a Damien Rice album, though his song from the movie Closer is haunting as shit.
