Do the Right Thing

No, this is not about the small conflict that arose in my clan, thank God.  This is about having your spouses back, no matter what.  Im going through this right now with my wife.  She did something related to her job that I completely disagree with (nothing illegal or anything - just not very professional).  However, the reaction by her company (and one individual in particular) galvanized me into one dangerous mother ****er.  It took everything I had not to walk into her office and pretty much rip a certain individual multiple new orifices.  I dont get really mad very often, but, when I do, standing in front of me is not a good place to be.

Fortunately, my years of marriage made me realize that what my wife needed was to KNOW I was on her side, not to have to bail me out of jail, so I let her know.    Fortunately, I have a peripheral connection to this bastard myself.  I will serve this dish cold, and, when I do, he wont care for the chef one bit.

But, now that Ive calmed way down, it is good to reflect on the fact that I realize that its not always about being right, its about backing up the ones you love when they need you.  I know Im not the worlds best husband by any stretch of the imagination, but I like to think I get one right every now and again.  Tomorrow, Ill be the big doofus who left his socks on the floor again, but today, for a brief time, I got to revel in the reason I know my wife and I belong together.  And that, my friends, aint a bad way to spend your day.
