Shared on Tue, 09/27/2011 - 21:48Gonna switch up my hotkeys a bit. I'm realizing I just kind of use them in order of what I use instead of what is most convinient / accessible when needed etc.
Right now I have
1 Nexus(s)
2 Scout / drop ship
3 Main Army
4 Robo Bay
5 Stargate
W warpgates
I envison something a little more fleshed out like
1 Army Composition #1
2 Army Composition #2
3 Army Composition #3
4 Robo Bay
5 Stargate
6 Scout / Drop Ship
7 All Nexus
F1 Nexus #1
F2 Nexus #2
F3 Nexus #3
F4 Nexus #4 ...
Putting my army in 3 control groups will allow me to do things like a 2 pronged attack. Or maneuver my army so I have Chargelots leading the charge followed by Stalkers then Colusus.
Having my Nexus all on 1 key will allow me to queue up workers and use chrono boost from all my resources as needed.
Using the Screen Keys (F1 - F4) will allow me to quickly zip back to my bases when I need to build new tech structures / place pylons or defend against harrasment. The less I use my mouse to move around the better. Using the keyboard is much more efficient.
I found this weirdo on Youtube lol he's a character - but I really do like the way they show you the builds.
