Ok...so this was (almost) impossible to watch from the comfort of my living room. For 45 minutes, the streaming was so bad that I could only watch three seconds at a time before I had to refresh the feed. I tried the youtube stream, a uplay stream as well as the Ubisoft website. I didn’t give up and I finally managed to catch it on the Gamespot website. Luckily I could play it from the beginning.

Rocksmith 2014

Jerry Cantrell with a styling new haircut opened the show with a little “Man in the Box” and then proceeded to show off Rocksmith 2014. In the new session mode you can load out a band to play along with, change their instruments and have up to four other “members” in your band. Rocksmith 2014 will launch in October this year

Splinter Cell Blacklist

A terrorist group has a list of US operatives and is executing those operatives daily. It is up to Sam fisher to stop them. Looks like typical Splinter Cell gameplay but this time you have AI help. Splinter Cell Blacklist hits stores this August.

Rayman Legends

Looks like it’s a fun visually stylistic platformer featuring our limbless hero and a cast of other characters that friends can play in co-op. Rayman Legends will be coming to stores September 3rd.

Mighty Quest for Epic Loot

Steal from your neighbor and protect your own castle. Looks to be something like a multiplayer tower defense game. You can try it out in closed beta at www.themightyquest.com

The Crew

The Crew is an open world racing game with a criminal underground story. The game is an online persistent world based in the entire US. The developers scaled the world down to around 500 square kilometers (yes, I'm Canadian!) or otherwise I think it could get a little boring driving from Sandpoint Idaho to Salt Lake City. Even with the reduced scale you have the ability to fast travel you can hook up with friends wherever they are seamlessly with no load times. You can tailor your vehicle for each mission. Looks interesting.

Watch Dogs

We saw this briefly at Sony’s PS4 reveal. It looks gorgeous and the premise of the game is so intriguing. Can’t wait for this game.

Just Dance 2014

It's Just Dance but with more songs, more friends and more colors....lots of colors, neon colors. My eyes are bleeding like its 1984 all over again.

Rabbids Invasion

Shown on Nickelodeon here in North America, Rabbids Invasion will be an interactive TV show that lets viewers interact with the rabbids on screen. From the looks of what they were showing this is likely an XboxOne exclusive given controllerless motion controls and TV through the video console.

Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag

Assassins Creed on the water, in boat, as a pirate. Hopefully he knows how to swim. Ubisoft has made Black Flag more of an open world than the previous games. The previous installments still had a sense of linearity to them as they told the stories. It will be interesting to see how they handle both open world and story in Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag.

Trials Fusion & Trials Frontier

Trials...Trials...Trials. I am always up for more Trials. Trials Fusion is on next Gen platforms as well as the 360 and PC. Trials Frontier is a mobile game.

Tom Clancy’s The Division

Give me zombies any day of the week over even just the threat of a real global pandemics. Zombies aren’t real, Asian Bird Flu is real. The Division asks the question what would happen if...? I know what I would do...stock up at Costco and head north...way north. Viruses don’t like the cold. The Division is another open world multiplayer online game set for both the PS4 and XBoxOne.

All in all a fairly diverse and strong showing from Ubisoft. A little old mixed in with a little new seems like a decent formula and positions Ubisoft for success.
