New Releases: Week of June 25, 2017

Puns and 90s nostalgia are a few of my favorite things so this was a good week to be on new release duty! We’ve got a couple of RPGs, a 90s favorite platformer, golf, and more 90s toys.

RPG Maker FES

The name on this one is self explanatory. You create your own RPGs and can share them with other Nintendo 3DS users.

The Golf Club 2

Release Date: June 27, 2017

Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO

This wins for best golf game title! The game is a golf sim with lots of social features including creating and sharing your own courses.

Valkyria Revolution

Release Date: June 27, 2017

Platforms: PSVita, PS4, XBO

This action-RPG includes permanent death as a game mechanic. It’s inspired by the European industrial revolution and has a hybrid battle system of turn-based and combat to increase intensity.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Release Date: June 30, 2017

Platforms: PS4

They’re trying with the pun here but unless his side-kick is named N I’d say it’s a stretch.  Coot-tastrophe would have been better!  The game is a 4K remaster of the first 3 Crash Bandicoot titles.

Micro Machines World Series

Release Date: June 30, 2017

Platforms: PC, XBO, PS4

This is bringing back Saturday morning cartoon nostalgia for me. I wonder if the world’s fastest talking man John Moschitta Jr. gets to  make a cameo! I think my favorite part about doing the new release articles is the internet nostalgia clickholes it sends you down! Enjoy this retro-Micromachines ad.

Oh right and the game is a racing team battle game that includes cameos from other Hasbro licenses including Nerf, G.I. Joe, Hungry Hungry Hippos, and Ouija.
