This is a great week in new releases for Nintendo. Super Mario Maker 2 hits Switch along with a bunch of ports from other platforms.  There’s plenty of variety across all the platforms to keep kids busy on summer vacation this week.

Haters gonna hate on Epic Games but at least they are getting Quantic Dream’s formerly Playstation exclusive titles to a new platform.  I really enjoyed this title when I played it in 2010 so hopefully it holds up if you didn’t get a chance to play it back then. It's a great mix of story, action, and choice mechanics.

Judgement

Release Date: June 25, 2019

Platforms: PS4

A Yakuza series spinoff this single player action adventure is a legal thriller investigating a serial murder case. Interesting back story on this one: The Japanese version was pulled from shelves when voice actor Pierre Taki (also famous as Olaf in the Japanese version of Frozen) was arrested for cocaine possession. I guess that really mean it with that Judgement title!

This H.P. Lovecraft inspired game looks highly reminiscent of Bioshock which is one of my all time favorites.  I feel like I’ll either love or despise this action adventure survival horror.

Last but not least (since Nintendo releases at the end of the week) Super Mario Maker 2 comes to Nintendo Switch.  It features course assets from Super Mario 3D World including Meowoser.  You can build your own levels and share online or play through the 100+ Nintendo made courses in single player mode.

Oh and Nintendo also released a bunch of other stuff for the Switch during the week that’s been out on other platforms for a while:
