New Releases: Week of August 12th

Late summer arrives and brings with it such staples as backyard BBQ's replete with pumpkin beer, NFL training camps, PAX Prime and, ahem, "great" games. This week's new releases feature some classic 2D platforming as Mickey's favorite sidekick, an action RPG on the Red Planet, everyone's two favorite italian plumbers on a rescue mission to save their girl and a turn based strategy game based on a popular board game.

The classic 2D platformer you remember from your childhood playing on NES has been modernized and re-released.

Payday 2 (360, PS3, PC)

Payday 2 is a four player co-op game that has players plan elaborate robberies and try to escape the scene to cash in their loot.

Charlie Murder (XBLA)

Charlie Murder continues the Summer of Arcade on XBLA. This is SKA-Studios latest offering, the same studio that brought us the popular Dishwasher series on XBLA.

MARS: War Logs

Mars: War Logs is an action RPG that takes you to the red planet over a century after the catastrophe that threw the planet and its colonists into chaos.

Mario & Luigi Dream Team (3DS)

This is the next edition of the Mario/Luigi RPG game that has Mario cross between his world and the dream world of Luigi to rescue Princess Peach.

Space Hulk

A turn based strategy game with both single and multiplayer components. Multiplayer can be played out cross platform with PC, MAC and iOS. Space Hulk is a re-creation of the popular board game of the same name.
