Welcome to Season 3 of the MML -- Halo: Reach Edition

Get your DMRs loaded and your armor lock on and prepare yourself. This season we have some new changes and twists. Hope you're ready.

Season One featured 10 teams, which put the league around 80 people. Season Two had 14 teams, which put us at around 95 players. We are hoping to build off the success of the previous two seasons and shatter those numbers.

Over much discussion we have decided to do away with GMs and make the Captain the GM. Also we have implemented a committee this season for trades and free agents. What does this mean? This means if there is a trade that could unbalance the league, it can be vetoed by the committee! We also have a website coming online sometime this week.

A quick FAQ to stave off your questions.

1) How long with the season be? Eight weeks total; six regular season games two weeks for playoffs.
2) When are games? Every Tuesday at 9:00 pm edt

1) Eligibility: All members of all skill ranges from 2old2play are eligible to play in the MML

2) Caesar will create a sign up thread in the Halo Public Forum [it's up now. go sign up there].

3) Once the league has enough players [number of teams TBD], all extra sign-ups will go into the free agent pool. We will provide fair warning when the sign up period will end so if you don't want to be a Free Agent, sign up early.

4) Each MML team will consist of four players: a Captain and three squad members. The Captain will be responsible for drafting his team and the three additional players will each be traded at some point in the season. The role of GM has been replaced by the Captain. The MML Committee will Pick captains for the teams for the league.

5) All of the Captains will be informed of a draft day date, if they can not attend draft day they will have to submit a draft list and an MML Committee member will use their list to make that captain's picks. When the draft is complete we will create team threads in the Halo Comp Forum and make a post telling all the players which teams they are on. The draft will be a snake draft.

6) A schedule of the season will be provided and stickied in the top of the Halo comp forum along with all committee members gamer tags and user names. In case you need to get a hold of the committee for questions.

Each Team will have to make one trade each week that is mandatory! The first three weeks of the season will be trade weeks. Trading cannot start untill after week one's games have been played.

9) Each player can only be traded one time!

10) Each team must trade three players total for the season

11) All trades will be reviewed by the committee, and the committee retains the right to overturn unbalanced trades.

12) The Season is a total of eight Weeks long, six weeks of regular season games and two weeks for playoffs.

13) Each week each team will play two teams, The Default league day all games are to be played on is Tuesday. If neither team can agree on a set day, then the game must be played Tuesday night. Teams are allowed to reschedule games but all games must be played by that Saturday and BOTH teams must agree to reschedule. Example: If Team A can only play on Tuesdays and Team B Can not make it, then team B will forfeit. Example : IF teams reschedule and one team does not show, the team that doesn’t show will forfeit

14) All Game Types & Maps will be provided by the MML on the MML FOF tag. When teams look at the schedule it will have the game types to be played for that week.

15) Captain responsibilities: The captain will make trades for his/her team, the captain will schedule his/her games for Tuesday and make sure his/her players will be there.

The captain also has several options:

Option 1: If a player cannot play in a particular week, the captain can choose to play three-on-four, or the captain can choose to drop his/her player and pick up a free agent. Captains will not get to pick their free agent;, A free agent will be assigned by the MML Committee.

Option 2: if a player can not make it Tuesday the captain can also attempt to reschedule that series of games for another day that week. The captain of the rescheduling team must agree to the reschedule.

16) Captains can and will be removed from the league without hesitation if they are not fulfilling their responsibilities.

17) Any cheating in the league will be an automatic forfeit of the series for that week!

18) Free agents will be used in case members drop from the league. The MML Committee will do its best to replace players who have dropped from the league with a similarly-skilled player (subject to availability).

19) Each week Caesar will update league standings, stats and awards, and it will be stickied so as to be easy to find.
