You've Gotta Be Kidding Me

I can't fucking beleive this.

I get home with my little one and I notice the house is warmer then usual. When we leave the house, I have the Air Conditioner set to automatically change to 80 degrees.

Well, it is about 85 right now. So I check to make sure the Air is working. Yup, I can hear it rumbling. So I go outside to check. Fucking shit. It's rumbling, but the fan on top is not moving.

I'm in frigging Texas. It is going to get up to 102 today. I was going to go swimming with my little one. Now she is crying her eyes out because we can't go because the stupid fucking AC which is less than 5 years old is broken.

Needless to say, I am pissed.

Edit:  It appears the capacitor went out.  I had the condenser replaced 2 years ago, so this is just something else that decided to die.  The good news is, the guy repairing it showed me and gave me enough knowledge that I'll be able to replace it myself if it ever goes out again.

That sucks! I Imagine A/C techs are in high demand right now too so you can't get someone out to fix it right away.\r \r Might be quicker to get a small room a/c and cool a single room in your house as a quick fix.

This happened to me just a couple weeks ago when it was 105 for several day straight. The AC was flipping the breaker about once or twice a day ,it was running inside but not out. I got the condinser cleaned and it hasnt happened since. But if your outside unit is running and the fan isn't it could hopefully be something simple like a belt. Best of luck.
