Year End Party

My work is having their Year End Event, formerly knows as the Christmas Party, tomorrow. There are going to have all sorts of food games and prizes. It is scheduled during work hours, so we just leave our desks and head to the party. I have a very large company with hundreds of people working at my site so I didn't think I would be missed. My plan was simple: blow off the party and go spend time with the wife and kiddies. That's what I really want to do. These types of gatherings tend to bore me. I hate to be a party pooper, but they just do.

Then today in my email box I get the following:

"Just to add a little more excitement to your adventures tomorrow we wanted to tell you about some fabulous door prizes. We will have X-Boxes, Wii's, and $500.00 in Southwest Airlines Gift Cards and many wonderful prizes."

<perk> Wha...? I'm sorry but did you just use the magic words. Did gaming terminology just exit your mouth?
