This isn't the 1960's, our technology has jumped leaps and bounds. We can drill with absolute minimum if not any impact to the environment at all now. Wonder why we're not tapping our own oil?

Damn you Democrats! You know last month while I was at work I heard on the radio that they recently discovered a massive oil well in North Dakota. Enough oil to last the US alone for the next 1000 years. \r
But just like Alaska, they won't let anyone tap it.
red herrings followed by red herrings. How much oil is there in ANWR? My memory is that it is something like 60 days worth or something like that. Hardly a drop in the bucket or a reason why prices are so high. \r

Also, the only people that don't want new refineries.....the oil comnpanies. Their profits from last year were more than enough to invest in new refineries. They might have to GASP!!! make them safe for the surrounding environments which may cost them more money then the existing refineries....but with the profits they are turning in....they can certainly nvest in more refineries.
i have come to the decision that democrats and slinkys have 1 thing in common. they are pretty much useless, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs
