Why I'm a Total Idiot

I'm going to China on Sunday for a week.  Of course when my passport expired back in November I said, hey I should really renew this NOW when there's no rush, it will be much easier than waiting until I really need it.


Fast forward to last month. Whoops, forgot about the passport and China trip is coming up! Whoops, I also need a tourist visa. Well why I don't I just mail it in and pay 2 jillion bucks for them to expedite it? And you know what, I should really get this in as early as possible to give them at least a month.


Fast forward to the END of February--well I guess I have to send it in now, I'll mark everything expedited, throw a ton of money at them and say 10,000 hail marys and hopefully get the passport before I leave (which they assured me would still happen)


Fast forward to today--YIPES!!!!!!!!! The damn visa is still processing--they told me it'd be here Friday, Saturday at the latest. Well if FedEx comes to my damn door and I'm not home, the package will go into that time/space vortex where you can't catch up to it until the following day and I'm SCREWED!


I am Mike's completely non-functional planning capabilities.

Thank god the first comment wasn't 'Charlie don't surf', I really couldn't take that.\r \r I serve up all kinds of opportunities for you to make fun of me, why would this be any different? It'd be no fun withholding gems of information like this.

Just go without the passport and Visa. It's only China... \r \r ...also,when you are at the airport, a good idea would be to present the local police/military with a chocolate handgun. And do it really quick, too.

I'm torn over whether or not to delete the porn from my video I-Pod. There is something in their customs list about not being allowed to bring in video materials detrimental to China's morality.
