That suit is not very practical.

Well guess women only get shot on the armor tank.

That has nothing to do with practicality. That was made so some Halo nerds could jack off to it.

For fantasy style games, men are slow but strong, so they need more armor for the attacks they sustain. Women are weaker, but much faster than men, so they need less armor so they're not bogged down with the extra weight so they can keep moving.
