Where are those Future Cars with autodrive?
Eisenhower never Prestiged....

With all the time that I have spent in the car lately, back and forth to Virginia, I want to know where those damn cars are that we were told would be here by now. You know, the ones that drive themselves, like an autopilot?

There are cars out there that have adaptive cruise control. Basicly, you can set the speed you want to go and if the front radar detects someone a few car lengths ahead of you it will automatically slow down and match their speed. Then when that car gets out the way, the car speeds back up to your preset value. I have driven a car with this feature and it made long trips a lot easier to manage. \r

A lot of drivers who have this installed on their car don't use it because they prefer to drive on someone's ass instead a few car lengths behind them.
Maybe Eisenhower was tomartyr bombed before he could go prestige.
They also have prototypes of automatic public transportation. I think Japan's systems run mostly autonomous.\r

Just like with hydrogen powered cars the tech is here the problem is integrating in with the existing system.\r

Iceland used very little gasolene. But they have a bunch of natural resources they can use. They use the steam from geysers to produce hydrogen for their cars.
