When did you realize that you were a true \"gamer\"?

You're a gamer, you know it, I know it, chances are everyone knows it. When did you finally accept your calling to true geekness? I realized it when I found myself staying up until 5am playing Diablo 2 when I was going thru one of my "A" schools. There I was mindlessly tapping my mouse for hours and hours, and for what?
