Weekend Play

The parental units were visiting this past weekend and so the natural thing to do was introduce them to the Wii. Dad took to the golf game pretty quickly and thought it was pretty cool. Mom is the bowler and I got her to play a couple games until her muscles (unused til then) told her to quit. I think both were pretty impressed with the play factor. Although, I dont' think I can convince them to get one for themselves.

Of course, Soup wanted me to send it down with them since they were next on their agenda for a visit.  I couldn't stop giggling.  He actually thought I would part with my Wii?  Silly man!  I won't even let Dastard take it for a weekend when he visits the boys.

Dastard and I threw hay bales on Saturday for a friend of ours and we were both very sore by Sunday morning. So, what do I do? Why play Wii sports, of course. What a perfect way to loosen up those muscles!! After loosening up, I thought I would play some Zelda on the Wii. I have never played a Zelda game before and my first impression was "What the hell is this?" I got to the point where I had to herd goats by horseback. Now my idea of herding came from time spent in a feedlot and working with cattle from horse back. Believe me the concepts are completely different. I tried to gently work the goats toward the barn. Nope, forget that, it won't work. Dastard even Googled for research and we couldn't get any better answers. Now I find out you "cowboy" them into the barn. I can tell the Japanese don't work animals very often.View Image Next adventure was with CoD3 (Wii version). I'm actually liking this game. The last time I played I was meleed in a doorway. (Yes, early in the game) and could not get past this German. The way to defeat this guy was to vigorously work your arms back and forth, in a punching motion, and then move them together in a side slashing motion to knock this guy out. I finally beat him and was out of breath from exertion. Now I've been told it is easier to play on the 360, but how do I get my exercise? I'm having more fun than should be allowed!
