Well, it turns out this Flu was a lot like the Poltergeist house after all,  like being in the eye of a tornado – all quiet and peaceful, thinking it has passed – and then BAM!! It just falls from the sky right on top of you at full force, and I’m like “but it was over I let my guard down”, and it’s like “yeah, and that was your mistake – suckerrrrr!!!”


I swear all these flu shots they’re passing around are only making the flus meaner and more resilient. In a couple of years a basic runny nose will be a near-death experience. *sigh*


The “chores” are slowly getting under control, and I’m glad to be getting back to my gaming again. In Black Ops I’m getting close to level 50 (Prestige), and ValVe has finally graced us Portal 2 fans with promised DLC.


I’m still trying to get the hang of this here; this site and the clanning. I think I’m some kind of oddball or something. I guess it’s unusual nowadays to have had a computer, and been online for over a decade, and not have ever really done any blogging or posting or things of this nature.  I’m very surprised at myself for even posting this blog every week. I read a lot of post topics where I want to respond, but then I think to myself “who really needs your remarks?” I feel, somehow, like I’m intruding on a private conversation, like someone’s going to read it, and go “who invited her?”


Of course there’s always the possibility that, being a 40-ish woman, my changing hormones are making me nuts.


(Just to be perfectly clear, I don’t want anyone to think I’m saying that the people here have made me feel this way – I’m just a mental case or too shy or something. Most of the people on this site have been very nice to me.)


The rest of my week should be filled with lots of dishes & laundry, some gaming, and then I intend to round it off with a nice massage (not the dirty kind).

It's why I don't get shots and I lick every piece of mail that comes through our work system. Especially if they send cash, I especially enjoy rubbing old random cash into any open wounds I have. I admit my nose is a little stuffy today though, perhaps I require an aggressive round of chemical drugs and immunosuppressants to combat this biological invasion.

Being active on a BBS is something that you need to get used to. I myself regularly fall in the 2nd language trap, that is, I'm not a native english speaker and as such tend to miss subtleties. Which in turn can be explained wrong... you get the idea, drama all around =)\r \r However, get your feet wet in the off-topic forum, like posting a lolkitten in the off-topic thread, for instance. Once you get a feel who the regular posters are, you get a feel for their style of posting and you'll start noticing that they're most everywhere. That'll make it easier to comment in threads were known people posting too.\r \r Thanks for the shout-out!
