Week 1 Television
Ok, so week one is almost over, and most of my shows have been recorded and / or watched. Here's my thoughts on the shows I've watched so far:
1. Kid Nation - ARGHHH! Yeah, I watched the 1st episode replayed on Saturday. Yes, it was very interesting, and I would recommend it. No, I will not continue to watch it. No reality shows. None.
2. Dancing with the Stars - I'm a big pussy? Yeah, when it comes to a show that's on in the evening that I can watch with my daughter (and isn't Disney or Nickolodean), I'll watch it. Besides, the female dancers are frigging HAWT.
After the first week's episodes, I'll make a prediction. Sabrina is going to win. Here's why: 1. She knows how to dance. She was near perfect on her first dance of the season. High energy, great footwork, and just fantastic to watch. 2. She has a Disney fan-base. It'll help with the fan vote. 3. It's time for a woman to win. The men have won the last 3-4 seasons in a row.
Her main competition will be Helio Castroneves, Floyd Mayweather, and Albert Reed. I honestly don't see any of the other women competing, nor any of the other men.
Oh, and Mark Cuban will be the next one voted off. I like Mark, but he can be such a tool sometimes. And his "Maverick" act won't go far on the show. I mean, all the men, except him were wearing black for their first dance. His brown suit with patches looked horrible.
3. The Unit - Excellent first episode picking up where last season's season finale ended. Hopefully will be another solid year for this series.
4. Reaper - I haven't watched the entire episode yet, but what I've seen so far had me laughing. A lot.
5. Life - I loved the first episode. This isn't your typical Cop serial that you are used to. The main character is back on the police force after serving 12 years of a life sentence for a crime he didn't commit (he was exonerated). $50 million rich from a lawsuit settlement, and now a detective, Charlie Crews is a very changed man. In fact, he is probably somewhat crazy. His new foundation is based on Zen, yet, some of his actions are very un-Zen like. This show has potential. I just hope it doesn't get cancelled before it realizes its potential.
That's all I've had time to watch with Halo 3 being released. Here's what I have yet to watch:
1. Heroes
2. Pushing Daisies
3. Dexter - Premiers this Sunday
4. Lost - Yet to Premier
5. Jericho - Premiers in January
The wife also has:
Private Practice and Grey's Anatomy recorded. Oh joy.
