Washington Redneck

So, we met with the realtor on Monday and our house officially goes on the market this Friday...so the move to Washington is finally starting to happen. Been a mess at my house with trying to fix shit that has gone neglected for seven years, but it's getting done: new paint, new bathroom, and all that other shit that gets ignored when the house is a domicile and not a commodity. With any luck I'll be out of the Texas heat sometime in September! I may have to change my GT to Washington Redneck.

Don't underestimate the quantity of country bumpkins we have. You'll fit right in...sorta.

I musta missed it elsewhere, what prompted the move north, other than maybe a love of rain and cooler weather?

I have a brain cyst that is exacerbated by extreme heat: it makes me pass out. I get hot, that thing swells up and I pass out for half an hour and I'm sick for the next four days. I've been dealing with this thing since 2002, but I'm tired of passing out when I try to mow the lawn. Since I have been working predominately warehouse jobs the majority of my adult life it's becoming a problem at work as well. That plus I'm sick of all the entitled, bible-thumping rednecks and the Sea-Tac area aligns more closely with my political beliefs. Shelly and I scouted ten cities, Chicago and San Fran included, and the Seattle area won for climate and politics...Portland was a close second.

Sounds like a solid move! Isn't T-10 out there somewhere?

Good luck Jonesy! Parcells don't know any better but Seattle area would be high on my US destinations but it doesn't matter cause anything outside of Texas is a move up eh?
