videogame kids disrespectful

Is it just me, or is the current generation of videogame kids very disrespectful? Everyday I play Xbox 360, I come across a teenager (if that) that does nothing but use foul language. They get upset at getting defeated, or their ass-kicked in some instances, but what kind of values are the parents of these children teaching them? Growing up, I can't remember ever being as rude as some of these kids. Could it be that the parents of these children are to busy playing video games themselves? Hell no!!! Everyone that I talk to that plays videogames and has children of their own also complains about this. I believe it is the parents who hardly, or never, play video games, because if they did they would understand our frustration. Anyways, for those of you who read this, just remember that morals, and values must be taught early in life. I love playing videogames myself, but my family comes first. If your not cutting it as a parent, please go to the doctor and get your stuff snipped or tied(, what ever fits).

Welcome to 2o2p and the Timmy-free zone. Now the people calling you names online will be people you know! :)\r A nice story- I played with a guy last night who had a co-op partner in Gears who was teenaged. The kid was going on about his mother very disrespectfully. My partner says he thinks the mother heard the boy, because there has been no activity on the kid's account since that night. The theory is that he was either killed or grounded. So take heart, most of us don't tolerate BS and when it is discovered, it is dealt with most riki-tik. :)

I completely agree with you. I've been working at the Apple Store (computers, not the fruit) for a couple months now and some of the kids I've seen and some of the things they do.... You'd think they're fresh out of Juvey or something. They seem to think the store is their own personal computer service and will do things that should not only be kept at home, but at their age not done at all. Some of these junior high girls are practically flashing the iSight cameras that are built in to the monitors with the intention of uploading these photos to MySpace. MySpace! Completely public area of the internet where all sorts of perverse people can look at them! WTF! Like I said, I've only been there for a couple months but it's almost completely killed any desire I've ever had to have children. Not that I think I'd be such a bad parent that my kids would grow up like that, but that those types of people will be there to influence my kids. If my kids were to pull that kind of shit at home I would more than likely tell them exactly what I thought about it and typically it's considered bad to call your kid a goddamned idiot. So I hear. Parents need to accept their responsibility.
