So, I have been in pain since last Wednesday. Severe, never ending, makes you want to curl up and die pain all located in my pelvic region, NOT fun!! I thought it would go away after I slept that night, it didn't. The next day I took a shit ton of Tylenol for the pain, then some Ibuprofen in case it was some sort of inflamed something, then Tums in case it was gas, then some Gas-X cuz that didn't help...nothing ever helped. I thought, well maybe the pain will go away after a couple days, it didn't. So today I call my doc and he can't get me in for a week, I tell him I have been in pain for 5 days now and I just can't take it anymore and he tells me "Well, if you can't wait until then you can go to the emergency room" bah View Image

So that is where I ended up at 1pm today, 30 minutes of driving around the parking lot looking for a parking place, finally got in, told them what was wrong, peed in a cup, got my vitals taken, then back to the waiting room for 2 hours :( I hate waiting :( and I hate weird crazy people walking around talking to themselves....it's scary. Plus, I was by myself most of the time and well, I don't like being alone. Especially when I'm sick or in pain...I turn into a big, whiney, needy baby. Finally get back in the room and the gay male nurse comes in, tells me they lost my pee, wants me to pee again, I pee again, get asked all sorts of questions and then the doc comes in. Our conversation went something like:
Doc "So, tell me what's going on"
Me "I have been having extreme lower abdominal and pelvic pain since last Wednesday"
Doc "What happened on Wednesday"
Me "Well, my boyfriend and I were being 'intimate' and as we finished I felt like someone took a knife and shoved it up me, made me double over in pain"
Doc "Was he being rough?"
Me "No more than usual, I told him he broke me and he said 'Well, that's how I roll'
Doc *damn near falls on the floor laughing* "Ok, I have to meet this guy"

Twas some way funny fucking shit right there, lol.

Well, after another 2 and a half hours, some (not) fun tests and procedures, I get diagnosed with busted ovarian cysts....yay. Gave me a ton of Vicodin and told me to come home and do some drugs....which I obviously have done, but at least I'm not in pain View Image That doc was the best....

Oh yeah, he finally met the man....and shook his hand for saying such an asshole thing to me after breaking me, lol. I love my man :) Sorry for the over sharage!!

That shit isn't funny. My wife had some of those cysts and it was the worst pain I have ever seen her in. I feel for you Durty and hope that you get to feeling better soon.

that is some funny shit....what he said....lol.\r \r Sorry about the cysts....is that something that the doc suggested possibly getting removed or something later on? From what I've heard/seen with the women in my family, those can cause some future complications.

I tend to make fun of things when they hurt me....better than crying :(\r \r They will only remove them if they continue to burst and cause more problems...from what he said, the only real issue is the pain, and they can medicate the pain away.

Hope you feel better and hope this doesn't affect your standing at the new job..... My wife went through ovarian cyst problems for a few years before they finally removed an ovary. A cyst would burst and we would end up in the ER and she would have a day or two stay in the hospital once every 4 months or so.
